July 13, 2017 Meeting Minutes

The Meeting – was held at Barb Hunters home.

Networking – 5:00PM Gardens open, sign in, networking

Refreshments – 6:00PM the meeting was called to order by President Glen Pace, Glen thanked Barb for opening her home and gardens on such short notice, visitors were introduced and a wonderful potluck was enjoyed by all.

Approval of Minutes – there were no changes to the minutes from the June 2017 meeting.  Motion to accept the minutes was made by Paulette Johnson and seconded by Steve Balabon.  The membership voted to accept the June 2017 meeting minutes.

Treasurer’s Report – no treasurer report was given, we will get two next month and vote accordingly.

Calendar Of Events – Glen went over the calendar, our next meeting will be at the home of the Gavit’s in Saginaw.  September’s meeting is the plant exchange at it will be held at the home of Melva Bond.  As of this time we do not have anything scheduled for our October meeting.  If anyone has any ideas please see Glen.  November is the annual board meeting and if anyone would like to attend they are most certainly welcome.  December ends our year with our annual Christmas party.

Break – 7:20PM the membership took a quick break.

Raffle – Thank you to Glen Pace, Gene Arms, Pat Salk and Bill Kapustka, Mick & Cathy Hodgson, Linda Ballard, Joy Boots, Deb Brown, Ethan Griffith, and Darlene Nadane for donating items for our raffle and door prizes.

Mick and Cathy Hodgson’s 50th - the EMHS Members are invited to join Mick and Cathy to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on August 12th from 2PM -4PM at the Lapeer County Sportsman’s Club 1213 N. Lake George Rd. Attica, MI 48412.  In lieu of a gift, please consider donating to Lapeer County Sportsman’s Club Camp Wilderness Fund for Children. 

Next meeting – Our next meeting will be held at the home of Annette and John Gavit in Saginaw.

Adjourned – A motion was made by Bruce Pollard to adjourn the meeting.  Meeting was adjourned at 7:42PM
