Refreshments
– 6:00 PM the meeting was called to order by President Glen Pace,
Glen thanked Dyane for opening her home and gardens for all to enjoy, visitors
introduced and a wonderful potluck was enjoyed by all.
Approval
of Minutes – there were no changes to the minutes from the June 2018
meeting. Motion to accept the minutes was made by Becky Hanner and seconded by
Steve Balabon. The membership voted to accept the June 2018 meeting minutes.
Treasurer’s
Report – Barb Hunter, treasurer gave a report for June 2018, beginning
balance was $XXX.XX, income was $XX.xx, and expenditures were $XX.xx, leaving
the club with an ending balance of $XXX.xx.
A motion was made by Mark Hanner to accept the treasurer report and
seconded by Mick Hodgson. The membership voted to accept the June 2018
treasurer’s report.
Annual
Plant Sale – Kathy Hodgson thanked the membership for supporting our club by
purchasing plants from the sale.
Calendar
of Events – Our next meeting will be August 9th at the home of
Sandy Vukonich. September 13, 2018, is
the EMHS annual plant exchange meeting and it will be at the home of Pat &
Patricia Major. Please remember no invasive plants and start potting your
plants now so they have time to adjust. October meeting is still in the
air. Patricia Major is going to check on
a speaker and will let us know at the August meeting.
Other
announcements – Barb Hunter talked about the upcoming Lapeer County
Master Gardeners garden tour on July 21, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Tickets are $10.00.
Raffle/Door
prizes –Thank you to Gene Arms, Glen Pace, Ethan Griffith, Paul Laidler,
and Melva Bond for donating plants for the raffle and door prizes.

– A motion was made by Becky Hanner to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 PM
